A Journey Inward,
Rooted in Nature
Discover the story of Osho Tapoban — a sanctuary where the wisdom of the East meets the lush serenity of the Nagarjun forest.
Born from Silence
Nestled in the lush spiritual foothills of the Himalayas, Osho Tapoban was established as a meditative commune to preserve and share the teachings of Osho.
It is not merely a physical space, but an energetic field — carefully cultivated over decades to support the delicate blossoming of human consciousness. Here, every stone, every tree, and every breeze is an invitation to look within.

The Living Sanctuary
The architecture of Tapoban is designed to erase the boundary between the inner and outer worlds.
Nagarjun Forest
Surrounded by an ancient reserved forest, the air is thick with prana. The natural symphony of birds and rustling leaves is the perfect backdrop for meditation.
Sacred Streams
Pure mountain streams flow through the commune, their gentle murmurs acting as a constant reminder of life's fluid, ever-changing nature.
Meditation Halls
Acoustically tuned, circular spaces built with natural materials — designed specifically to hold the intense energy of dynamic and silent meditations.
Jewels of the Ashram
Eight sacred corners of the commune, each a doorway into a different flavour of meditation.

Nirvana Grove
One of the most powerful enclosed energy spaces in Tapoban, the Nirvana Grove is like an energy box open for exclusive half-hour silent sittings after evening celebrations. Many seekers report deep states of meditation here.

Kabir Temple
Divine intervention and spontaneity are the two main ingredients behind the construction of this temple at Tapoban dedicated to the mystic poet Kabir. A small hall with the energy of Kabir's songs.

Jesus Temple
Jesus was a man of love, of immense love. At Tapoban, we have a beautiful corner for Jesus where one can sit around his statue and listen to the natural waterfall flowing alongside.

Death Park
First of its kind in the world, the death park at Tapoban is created with the intention to remind seekers of the inevitability of death — and through that remembrance, of the urgency of meditation.

Ramana Maharshi
The statue of Sri Ramana Maharshi at Tapoban has been welcomed with immense joy and reverence. A silent corner to sit and inquire — Who am I?

Buddha Mandir
The Buddha Mandir at Osho Tapoban is one of the most serene and sacred spaces within the commune — a perfect place for vipassana, walking meditation, and silent sittings.

Nalanda
Nestled deep within the serene Tapoban forest, Nalanda is more than just a building — it is a sanctuary for seekers, a meeting place for sangha, and a small temple of learning.

Sujata Kitchen
The ashram has two eateries inside its premises. Every day Sujata Kitchen provides 3 vegetarian sattvik meals, prepared with awareness and devotion.
Our Mission
"To create an environment where the contemporary man can unburden himself, discover his inner silence, and celebrate life in its totality — weaving meditation and love into the fabric of daily existence."
